Alex Massachi

As Chairman & CEO of Massachi, Alex oversees all aspects of the firm's investment and development strategies, with an emphasis on initial acquisition diligence, project underwriting, entitlements, strategic partnerships, and business development. His ability to scout out and weave together talent from all real estate disciplines is pivotal to the firm’s success in project management and execution. With an energetic passion that resonates through his work both at Massachi and in the public sector, Alex has garnered a track record of consistently executing creative strategies across diverse projects during his tenure in real estate and planning.
In addition to his leadership of the firm, Alex is the Chair of the Planning & Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee of the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council. As Chair, Alex has been actively involved in the planning, review, and approval of over five billion dollars of ground-up development across the Hollywood submarket of Los Angeles; as such, he has developed a nuanced understanding of local land-use practices and political dynamics.
Prior to founding Massachi, Alex honed his expertise in real estate investment and development as President of MCAP Partners, as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard Frerès & Co and as a Summer Analyst at Kingdon Capital Management.
Alex graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance, was a Joseph Wharton Scholar as well as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
